Cruising
A 2 1/2 year circumnavigation of the Pacific Ocean via New Zealand and Japan with her two sons aged 4 and 10. Her book entitled, Kids for Sail, (Orca Books, 1991) highlights the incredible voyage that sparked her love for sailing and passion for ocean adventure. She has written extensively for local magazines and her articles on cruising have appeared in Pacific Yachting and 48 degrees North.
Racing
In addition to the local Vancouver racing scene, Pamela has participated in the Victoria Maui and Marblehead races as the navigator and has been closely involved in the organisation of the Vic Maui race, most recently as Chairman for the 2006 race.
Other
Pamela has sailed extensively throughout the Pacific Northwest from the San Juan Islands to Prince Rupert. She has explored the spectacular Queen Charlotte Islands as well as circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. She has operated charters in the Caribbean and has sailed through much of the West Coast from Alaska to California.
